Welcome to Sandoval County Animal Care Services. We are Sandoval's local shelter serving Sandoval County areas. We are a small operation with 21 kennels currently. We initially started as a temporary shelter. Over the last three years, numbers have grown and the need to expand have increased. Currently we are still temporary, but we do have a new Animal Resource Center being constructed near Hwy 550 and I-25 and we plan to open in early 2027 or the end of 2026. We are excited to grow and the need to get these pets out to good homes will always be present and our top priority. Volunteers, dog walkers and persons interested in helping are always welcome and if you are looking for a good companion in your home, please reach out to us.
